Clothing Swap Finds!

I have been having a great time, wearing my lovely finds from our first Law Ladies Clothing Swap.
Read more about it here.

Here is the first of my great swap pieces- a cardigan from Chelsy.

Here I am wearing the second of the lovely sweaters I picked up from Chels.
Thanks girl!

I even wore it to a law school luncheon, here:

Today Chelsy wore a necklace from the swap, and Cole has even worn some of the head scarves too!
Maybe they will post some pics of the pieces they picked up-styled their own way :)

The ladies are setting up another dinner party for two weeks from now, and I can tell you I am already counting down to the welcome study break!

XOXO,

My Summer Plans

Can you tell it is almost finals? The law ladies are all scrambling around-no one knows who is posting when... our brains are slowly being taken over by the various courses we are in.

ANYWAY...

My summer is going to mainly be spent here...

I work for a mid-size firm in Morgantown called Bowles, Rice, McDavid, Graff & Love LLP. I love it there. I love the people. I love the work. I love the laid back atmosphere. So 12 weeks of my summer will be spent writing memos, researching legal questions and HOPEFULLY researching title.
I am a property geek. I love going to the record room and figuring out who owns what in a parcel of land. It is rewarding for me to make a chain of title--basically a map from owner to owner. Last summer I also got to participate in mediations, foreclosure sales, and various client meetings. Working for Bowles also means some fun road trips. This year, Charleston and Martinsburg will be the field trip destinations, but I also get to go on a zip line at some point (YAY).

Other plans are still up in the air. Corey and I said no vacation this year, but he is already itching. We've done cruises in the past, but I think we are going to branch out this year and hit up some fun cities.
First on our list is NYC... I have never been.
DC is an alternate. But who knows, he was researching flights to Clearwater last night! We will also throw some fun family trips to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Idlewild in there to round out the summer!

It's my last "summer break" and I hope we can live it up a little :) Cause pretty soon I will just be a grown up who goes to work everyday! Although I do kind of love having a desk with a nameplate!

Seoul Summer . . .

Hello Everyone!

I am SOOOO excited to tell everyone about my summer!!!

I am doing a study-abroad program in South Korea!

I will be in Seoul, South Korea for 3 weeks and will be taking a trip to Shanghai for a few days. We will also be taking mini-trips to the DMZ, small villages, etc.

We will be studying International Business Transactions and Comparative Human Rights on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.    The rest of the week, we will be exploring and learning the culture!

(I really want to go to a traditional Korean home that looks just like this!)

I can't wait to have photos of my own to share!!!

*** Also, I wanted to share a quick little story about how small the world really is!  One of my best friends was supposed to be going on this trip with me, but she got a job offer in Charleston and is now unable to go.  I was feeling quite apprehensive about taking this trip where I would not know anyone.
So, last Saturday at the new student luncheon, a girl sat down at my table.  As we started talking, I found out she had went to high school in Korea and was going to be there this summer, at the same time as me and less than an hour away!!!!  I am SOOOO excited about this!  We exchanged information and she ever told me she would take me to a Korean amusement park!!!!

Hot damn, summer in the (small) City!

This year I will be spending my summer in my hometown of Vienna, WV.

A park that I love to walk in when I am home.
I am so lucky to have such a beautiful place right down the road from my house!

{The Jackson County Courthouse in Ripley, WV}

I will be spending my summer days not lazing by the pool, but helping West Virginia's indigent criminal defendants with their cases while working at the Ripley, WV Public Defender's Office.

I will also be spending lots of quality time with my momma, going on vacation with my guy and his family and making mini road trips to Morgantown and Columbus.
I am looking so forward to this summer--it is sure to be a great time :)
